How's the k&n intake version 1?

Hey guys I'm about to buy a old K&N short ram intake but its the version 1 and i wanted to know if it's any good? thank you

it did not completely cut itself off from the hot air from the engine and actually was worse then the stock air box. In fact most are not better than the stock air box with a k&n drop in filter

Normally causes a loss of hp. The second version is better, but the stock airbox is pretty hard to beat.

the stock is actually very good cold air intake.
I just dont get so many people's logic that stock means junk.

the stock airbox is indeed a fanastic intake. i dont run mine anymore but I still agree
