Ok I know this sounds weird and is a weird topic, first off I am a guy as well, and Im not trying to pick up a guy, and don't have any problems with any dudes hahaha. Anyways on to the story.

Today I was driving around, and came into an area that I'm not really familiar with, so I went to do a u-turn and start heading home, and noticed that the driveway that I had decided to turn around in had a Subaru WRX, now this isn't a really big deal, but the the car LOOKED like a show car, He had Super advan 2's (in grey) and had a bunch of stickers and a body kit plus an ab-flug looking spoiler. The thing is I kind of want to get my car sponsored for show's and stuff, and I was thinking ..... should I just go and try to talk to the guy in his house? Do I leave a note in his mailbox, or do I just ignore it and try to do whatever without the help of someone in the area.

Like, I know some of you might say "oh probably just some teenager" but it really looked like a nice show car, had a bunch of what looked like sponsor stickers, the car looked really nice, which for a wrx to look nice to me takes ALOT, I think they are some of the ugliest cars.

I would like to make my car a show car, but I don't know how someone would go about doing that, I saw those ad's in the car magazines but they def seem very sketchy.

btw for anyone saying to just do it yourself, I would but Im a college student and while it will get done EVENTUALLY I would like some help to get there faster, and if it meant putting stickers on my car or going to shows I wouldn't mind.

 

I'm known to be blunt/outgoing/not worried about stuff. I'd pull in, knock on the door and ask. Maybe it's a cute girl

And get pics of the WRX if you go back.

 

Um yeah just go to the door and ask if you can speak with the owner of the WRX. Not really hard...

I know if I owned the car it would make my day to have someone ask about it. He/she probably sank quite a few bucks into it so human pride will kick in.

If I had that kind of car, I wouldn't be showing it off like that. I would hide it underneath a car cover or in the garage.

You might be able to find it by pictures (and location) on some of the bigger WRX Forums and can talk to he/she/it that way. Might take a little bit of searching but if the car stands out as you described you could find it and most likely he/she/it is a member of one of those forums.

 

Invite him out for dinner and a movie.

But seriously. Knock on the door, ask who owns the WRX and when you talk to them, ask him if he has sponsorship deals or whatever.

 

Make sure you make it clear that you're not selling anything :-P

 

I agree that the owner will probably be happy w/the attention over the car. Knocking wouldn't bother me were it my car, though that might depend on time of day, work schedules, etc. (for example - my GF works 3rd shift, so I might be a little irritated if someone were to ring the door bell and wake her up)

A note under the windshield wiper would probably do the trick in the least intrusive manner. Chances are (if the owner is anything like me) they'll see you at the car and be outside in short order!

Id stick a card on the door/car an ask him about calling and sponsorship, that way you dont seem like a stalker

I have it easy. Usually the nice cars are illegally parked so I go up and ask them to move their car. Then I get into the car talk. Go to the door. Like they said she may be hott.

 

*knock knock* "oh hey, can i speak to the owner of that really sweet wrx?"

its that easy.

 

Some of the people on here have show cars...just talk to one of them.
