How to remove ECU cover?
How to remove ECU cover?
for the life of me, i cant figure this out!
i got the 3 bolts out, but there are still two wire hoses connected to the cover that i cant figure out how to take out!
im trying to install LED parking lights, but the DIY doesnt specify how to take the cover off, just to remove the 3 bolts which i did.

The three bolts is all you need to remove.
The main bundle of wire to the box is surrounded by a large grommet.
The cover is probably just stuck to it and needs a little tug.
Lift from the rear...

by the back you mean the side closest to the passenger?
i really wanted to pry it up but i felt that i was going to rip the wire harnesses.
how exactly do you get the grommets off? theres one towards the bumper and one towards the strut bar

Maybe a visual will help.
Here is a DIY I made for removing the SSV.
At just before the 1min mark we open the PCM cover.
Hopefully this give you an idea.

I wouldn't say it'll fall right off... more like one you remove the cover, the grommet will just "slide" up and out of the PCM box.
Once you get it out you'll understand what I mean.
