What do you think?

I'm thinking 80k or less is pretty good!

Edit: Thank you for all the response

Another question... does Carfax or AutoCheck post on whether the engine has been replaced? Cause every RX-8 I've looked at the only recall done have been the clutch.

Can't really answer that. Depends on how the car was maintained. 100k isn't a problem if it's in good condition.

Interior and engine bay are a couple good ways to tell. If there clean, not just quick wash clean, but no oil under the hood. And if the interior is in good shape, keep and eye at the carpets / floor mats, how much wear and tear or dirt is caked up on them. And any other things that make you question the condition.
Edit: Not saying that a car with a perfect interior can't have a completely neglected drivetrain, these are things that throw flags when i look at cars.

Yeah, just take a look at the overall condition of the car.

I will throw this out there, I don't know your budget, but I waited a decent while, and just picked an 04 up with 37k mi for $13k.(One month ago, to let you know how recently).

Is there a certain one you're looking at? And if so, does it have an online listing?

And have you test drove it? And if so, have you test drove any others to see how they felt in comparison?

Another question... does Carfax or AutoCheck post on whether the engine has been replaced? Cause every RX-8 I've looked at the only recall done have been the clutch.

With my 07 at 26k miles, I'll probably not use my engine core 8 year warranty, but the 6spd auto trans did fail, and I've got temp data on my Scanguage with a aux cooler so it might not happen again.

I'm 59, but could die before my 8 does!

I would definitely say yes, if it was done by a registered Mechanic it should be on there. You would think they would want it on their to aid in sale really.
