2,500km. Dont let a dealer rape you. It's a $15 part that takes 10 minutes to change with a single 10mm socket wrench.

Actually, I have the same question. I have wondered if I would want to change my seals before there is damage. So can I monitor compression or oil change tests? Or is the answer that a rebuild is too expensive to do early - it makes more sense to run it till compression is a drivability problem?

i change mine with every oil change. So, usually about every 48,000km/30,000miles

I suggest drilling two holes on the side plates for easy access. everyone has done it.

Kilometers and Miles are two entirely different measurements. There is absolutely no reference or relation between the two, and there is no available conversion factor.

What is more, Apex seals know how many miles they travel, but are much fuzzier on how many Kilometers they travel. This is also why they typically last for more Kilometers than Miles.
