Some people are addicted to the new engine smell, and the Walmart air fresheners really don't cut it.

I have had seven different Mazda RX cars and put a total of 520K miles on them. When I had a problem Mazda took care of me(one engine in '71 that I caused). This is an Exotic car you can own for cheap(in comparison to other exotics). It is made well and Mazda wants it to continue. It is set up very well stock and will give you years of good reliable service. Sure if you mod-it, drop the clutch and abuse it, it will fail like and thing. Mazda has a 8yr-100K miles warranty on the engine which is more then many and shows they are trying.

I for one do not consider the RX8 an exotic...that title I reserve for lambos, higher end porsches, ferraris, aston martins, etc.

And "if you mod-it, drop the clutch and abuse it, it will fail-like and thing"?

Define 'abuse' and modding it like Mazda Maniac's AP, increases the OMP flow and turns on the radiator fans ealier...therefore helping with relability...

They last exactly 2 years, 3 months, 4 days, 6hours, 37 mintues, and 16 seconds.
But it is spectacular when they go. Like a fireworks show.

But my last one lasted over 225,000 with 0 problems, and it was an auto-x car.

I got 56,000km on my car before I blew the #2 rotor, or at least thats what they said. "After further analysis we concluded your number 2 rotor had "0" compression which is why we changed everything else first because we thought our machine was broken"

So thats what? Around 30,000 miles?

But... I will admit. My Mazda Dealership did everything and its now good to go, with no questions asked.
Brand new engine, and she runs amazing!
So I'm actually very happy!
This 8 year warrenty thing is def. a good thing though! Its much needed and stands to say something about the company! Makes me consider buying another Mazda, when 2 months ago I said to myself, "Never Again"

Every time you ask this question, somewhere around the world, a rotary engine explodes.

We have agents on their way to your house as I type this. It's best if you don't resist and go quietly.

Yeah, but how many of those are because there was something wrong with the engine being taken out?

Haven't seen one yet in over 5 years over at HondaPilot.org.

Seriously, don't you think we see more here than at most sports car forums?

I'm the guy that asked "how fast can you take a turn?". Why is it so bad to ask a legit question if a person does not know the answer? I thought the whole purpose of this forum is to converse and get help from each other, since we all own the same car?

common sense you must learn......the question you asked can be answered so many ways but only you can answer your own question.....this forum is for technical information (for the most part) and socialization.....the question was silly.....dont get too butthurt....after all it is the internet

If the car didn't flip over, then you probably weren't going fast enough.

Just because you asked a question doesn't make it legitimate. Are you aware that there is more than one kind of turn? There are some where I can't go above 10mph and there's some that I can go above 80pmh, and there's everything in between. Now can you see how unpossible it is to answer that question?
