Exclamation How on earth do you...

... Keep a Black RX-8 clean!?!?!?!

I've heard the stories of black cars and how hard they are to keep clean but I didn't think it would be this bad!

I wash it one day, the next it looks like I didn't even touch it!

And whats with those swirl marks that you can see at different angles?

What cleaning methods, cleaning agents and polish/waxes do you guys use? I've always used McGuire products, but that was always on a paint colour that you couldn't tell if I did something wrong...

Has any body used one of those claybar thingies on there car? Does that work as good as they claim?

And you have to keep black cars looking clean otherwise they look just plain gross!

Thats the end of my rant/questions...

Thanks for reading,
Shawn

Dirty is the new clean.

Don't worry about swirl marks.

Don't clean every day. Don't clean every week. Don't clean every month.

Maybe 3 to 6 months between washes, claybar annually, and just leave it be.

Dirty rotary proves you are old school rx8, not the new kid on the block who thinks rx8 is all that.

Don't look back 4 years from now and realize I was trying to help avoid all that agony and wasted time.

I have 2 civics an 06 and 07 that are black . I just pretty much dont wash them often .

If you have the 8 please do keep it clean . If mine isn't clean I dont even take it out , sport cars should alway be clean when driven around . The clay bar works , I do mine 3 times a year .
