It's freakin' hilarious, especially since Hitler had Felix Wankel imprisoned at one point in the 30s. BTW there's another thread on this: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ghlight=hitler

people just like to talk **** about something they know nothing about really.. yeah the old 13b's gave it a bit of a bad name but its really not that bad of a motor, espessially considering how long its been around and how many people have worked to make it reliable vs the regular piston motor

No, not in the same jail. Hitler was in Landsberg am Lech, near Munich, and Wankel was imprisoned some 8 years later in Lahr, which is near Luxembourg.

Funny video (and from a really great film, by the way), though it's been parodied by practically every forum type in the world.
A small shame the video author couldn't spell torque. What is tourqe anyway?

Heh.
There's lots of FC NA rotaries still chugging along with 250k+ miles, & quite a few turbo FCs too with nary a rebuild.
The FDs and Renesis engines are another story. They were a, um, 'great leap forward' in power, but their apex seals are like popcorn in hot oil. It tells you something when Mazda opens a special plant just to rebuild Renesis engines!
Too bad...maybe they'll get it right with the 16x. I hope so.
