Hit a deer
Hit a deer
Get this. Driving on I-88 in the country tonight along side a semi. The semi hits a deer, sends it my way. I hit the deer as it hits the ground. Lots of noise from the underside of the car. I pull over to check it out, leave the engine running - to keep the lights on. No damage to the body, but lots of deer guts on the front end and radiator. All of a sudden the car starts smoking. Smells like burning flesh. I stop the car and pop the hood. Under the hood looks and smells fine. Smoke goes away. I drive home (10 miles) all guages look normal. The heat/air worked and smelled fine. Get home and get the flashlight. Turn the car on, starts smoking again. The entire udnerside or my car is covered with deer parts. I couldnt really tell if there is any damage, but the Cat is now dark brown along with most of the exhaust from cooking the deer. Big mess, I'll get to thouroughly enjoy my day off tomorrow cleaning burnt deer carcus off the bottom of my car.
Oh and if you have any suggestions as to how to go about cleaning or what to make absolutly sure is free of any junk it would be much appreciated.

Damnnn..... what a nightmare. Sorry man... I can't imagine an easy way to get that stuff off the exhaust without continuing to bake it off. Sounds like an excuse for a high speed road trip...
If you can get access to a lift - just powerwash it off. If not, go buy a set of "service ramps" at Pep Boys or walmart, take it to a "u-spray" place, drive up on the ramps and spray it off.
