Thumbs down Hit an animal on the way home - pictures

On the way home tonight, country road, cruising at about 50 or 55 MPH and this wolf or something runs right across my path from the ditch. Wham!
Now the left front of my car is trashed. The nose cap is torn up, the left foglight is gone, the inner panels are dragging on the ground and on the tire. The oil cooler has been dislodged but appears to be okay. Lots of little bits and pieces broken.

I will try to post pics tomorrow. Any thoughts?

Edit: Added pictures

Thanks, guys.
HolyCross05, Yeah, it's silver. Crap I hate to be a statistic.
Captain Mercury, I live in one city but work in another. Traffic tied up the highway so I took my alternate route.

Glad you're ok, but I hope you stopped to check for the tags on the "wolf" you hit.

And then called the owners to let them know their dog is dead.

Yes, that's it! You know how easy it is to mistake a moo-cow or pheasant for a wolf!

That sucks DarkBrew.

Hey, good excuse for that accessory package...you know, to replace the one that was riped off your car.

Atleast your ok and didn't swerve to avoid it, into a tree or something.

sorry to hear about that -- i had the same experience with a raccoon... i was doing 65 at night on a dark road the bugger runs out in front of me, i swerve (could have missed him) but he turned back around and into my path (again).

Cracked the bumper (not nearly as bad as yours), broke all the underside rock guards and messed up my A/C condenser unit. All in all $2000 to fix, but only had to pay 500 b/c of insurance.

That's a great shortcut road you took Dark Brew but my guess is the warm January we had up here kept the critters awake and the current cold weather has them out foraging. Don't they know about Price Cutters??? Do you claim this through collision coverage? Mine is $1,000...keeps the premium costs down.

BTW, how long have you been getting away with the clear corners in Ontario?
Stealth bulbs, etc.?

Sorry to hear/see dude.

P.S. Don't you guys find it funny that one of the first questions when something bad happens on this forum is "It's not silver is it?" After 2 years of being on this forum it's kinda funny, well just because my 8 isn't silver I guess.

It's a legal requirement in some countries (including Australia), that cars fitted with Xenon headlights have washers fitted as standard. Dirty lenses on Xenon headlights scatter the focused light and dazzle oncoming drivers.

Obviously you Americans drive around at night with your eyes closed.......
