high output renisis?

Ok well today i went to the dealer to take out my mazsport ignition, agency pulley and k&n filter. Afterwards I talked to my tech guy and he began to tell me that i was getting a new high output renisis. He told me he didnt know what all the differences were but it would hold together better and be a little more powerful. also he told me that mazda is considering another extended warrenty for the renisis since it keep blowing up.

anyone heard of this high output version of the motor? He said not all are like that but they can request them, and since he likes me he got one for me. *either way i dont really care if hes telling me b.s. or just doesnt know what hes talking about i just like that im getting a new motor*

That sounds good.

The *even longer* extended warranty sounds like a great idea, but IMO they have to recommend something better than 5w20 to get their name back.

High output?

Im pretty sure you wont be getting a 09' motor since the OMP is different and will not work without modification.

I can't imagine it being an 09 motor, as I wasn't aware of them being any different than the main thing being lubrication....I can't wait to see what this entails!

Isn't HO just the designation for the 6-port? Pretty sure it is.

Yea i know the tech guy there so they are good on the warrenty stuff for the most part. the only thing is i have to take off the nitrous b4 i take it in but since i just bought it and havnt installed it wasnt a problem, I just went there today in ther lot and took off my pulleys, ignition and filter so when they take the motor out i can put it on the new one . About the motor the tech guy was talking about my 6 port and said it was a higher performance than the regular 6 port. thats why i am confused

I too think that he just meant the remanufactured 6 port Renesis since 6 port was referred to as High Power Rensis and 4 port was Standard Power Renesis

What year is your RX-8?

Mazda should just forget about extended warranty and give us all the updated Renesis, obviously with modification all to make it work with 2004-2008. (yeah when pigs fly)

04 6 speed, thats what i would think too if i were reading this. But in our conversation i was like yea i know i already have the 6 port, and hes like yea i know there is a option h/o 6 port we can order besides the factory 6 port.. so maybe hes just b.s'n me..

they never said anything about my midpipe i have on there right now. so i dont think they will care about your cat

Do you have a 'normal' cat. If you do anything under your car I would swap that out before going in. My .02
