I recently hit a deer which resulted in $3000 worth of damage to my left front bumper and HID lamp. After replacement, the body shop neglected to adjust the aim, and I could barely see at night. I brought it back to the dealer, they adjusted it but it was still too low, so I took a flashlight and a screwdriver and did it myself based on the excellent instructions in this post. Still though, the cutoff between the light and dark is so obvious, it is distracting, and I don't think I'll ever "not notice" the difference like I did pre-deer.
Deer 1, RX-8 -$3,000.

Of course those are HID, the original poster wanted HID photos for comparison so I provided them, albeit late because I arrived late to the thread.
I assumed it was easy to tell due to the sharp HID cutoff.

A year or 3 late but I had exactly the same problem as the OP. Found out that the bulbs were installed improperly. Rotary Rasp was right. Dealer fixed them one dealer told me they were OK, which, clearly, they were not. Much better now.
I too find the lower left light very distracting. I'm going to aim it higher and see if that works. If people start flashing their lights at me I'll bring it down again.
Thanks for posting that pic User24, it confirms that my new adjustment is spot on. My pattern looks identical. My previous pattern was all over the place.
