Hi all, new to RX-8
Just purchased a beautiful 2004 velocity red. So far I love the car, it handles great, and isn't bad in a line. It's all stock except a k&n drop-in, axle-back, Tsw Thurxton 20x.8.5 wheels, and 245/35ZR20 XL Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position's.
Probably going to keep it stock inside, maybe some minor cosmetics and a nice stereo.

Red is just my thing.
They came with the car. I think I'm going to see if I can find someone who wants to trade them for a good set of 18's, might be able to put some $$ in the trade too. Tires are in great shape, almost no treadwear.

I've heard of this theory before, but I never thought that Suby and SRT-4 drivers would willingly share the same road.

Huge hole is huge
A checksum is a form of redundancy check, a simple way to protect the integrity of data by detecting errors in data that are sent through space (telecommunications) or time (storage)
would be what I'm guessing he was getting at.
If I had any extra money, I'd take those wheels off your hands, I like the way they look, surprisingly.

Oh I know what it means. I was indirectly seeing what checksum does for a living

beautiful pic. really nice shine on it too. looks like it was just professionally detailed.
lose those 20s, the rolling diameter is huge and the weight makes it worse. you'll get far better acceleration out of 18s. acceleration isnt a strong point in the rx8, and thats really killing it. it wont do 11s like your srt-4. but if you scroll down the main page you'll find a thread that shows it'll do mid 14s stock.

They are really nice and super sticky. Dry with the tcs off I have to actually try to loose traction. From what I can find the only downfall to them is the pricetag at around 300 a tire (mounted and balanced on my rims) I am sure the 18 would be a bit cheaper but still pretty spendy compared to other similar tires.

Also the front lip needs some repair, it's cracked and the tape holding it on is coming off. I may just get a sybon cf lip and call it a day.
Also, those wheels/tires are up for trade if anyone wants them. Make me an offer.
