Thank god for secure parking garages or I'd be SCREWED here in Newport News. Welcome to the club. Lots of know-how here so make sure you read up. The search function that everyone tells you to use kind of sucks because of all the junk threads. If you have a question try using Google search and look for the answer that are on the RX8 club website. Thats how I do it.

sorry to hear this happened... there are a few things u can do tho to reduce your risk.
1. absolutely, never EVER leave anything visible in the cabin- no ipod mounts, no camera docks, no cables, nada, nothing... keep a clean cabin with nothing of value in sight. don't give any thief a remote reason to consider breaking in.
2. park in well-lit areas, preferably away from high foot-traffic areas- ie avoid where ppl are likely to walk by, such as stairwells etc. stupid teenage kids are notorious for keying cars when walking by drunk and stupid.
3. don't do anything to your car that might draw unnecessary attention to it. if u have a flashy car with mods & stickers, then that's the **** u'll have to deal with, unfortunately. and, that is the price for vanity.
4. have good insurance.

Lol tiffany its funny my gf curbed the ***** out of my back rim, hit the biggest curb available and now i have yellow stuck in my rim..yeah unfortunately i own probably the nicest car in the apartment lot and its velocity red so its kind of hard not to be noticed. I never ever leave valuables in the car, yet alone visible. It looks like they tried to get in by screw driver by the small pulled out section and scratches then coudnt get in (no ****) than kicked/kneed and hit my car. I filed a report but unfortunately it took a week for me to put all the pieces together..fortunately i have a friend who has a friend who owns a body shop that will pull the dents dirt cheap. I hate people, I am working my **** off for this car and someone is going to try to steal it, gr. than fail and vandalize it...i hate people
