I betcha it's the same reason why my 10 sec. bike gets left in the garage in favour of my slower bike. Same reason why my old Miata was more fun than my old 455ci muscle car. Contrary to the belief of too many guys here and most other car forums, you can't define a great bike or car by straightline speed alone.

As a matter a fact, too fast a car means less opportunity to open it up and enjoy it. I can't be on the throttle on my sportbike for more than 2 seconds without risking a weekend in jail!

I sold a JDM 95 Celica GT-Four with 480hp all four wheels for the 8. Too hard to maintain for me to want to keep around (and all the parts came from Japan or the UK). It's all about the handling and not having to work on the car constantly.
