Angry Here We Go Again

alright so we all know about the visor problem we have with the heat, well the last heat wave we had in NY my visor broke again and i took it to get replaced. As always Mazda dealer does not have the part so they have to order. i do basic check up on the car and oil change, i got the car back and my visor is in worst condition than when i took the car in but since its getting replaced i said who cares. well now the damn thing wont stay up so keeps blocking my view while im driving and just now coming from 59st the visor fell off again and basically my radio, dvd navi, inside lights, alarm system and i have a nice check engine light on my dash too i think something must have shorted something in its just gets on my nerves that now i have to mostlikely wait to get my car serviced from the dealer. mean while remote entry and the radio dont work.

lol believe me that came up to my head many times, i just didnt want no sticky things on the roof of the car after i take it off. i talked to mazda and they said check fuse box, which i already knew, but they said that shouldnt triggered the check engine light. they wanted me to wait 2 weeks for the next available visit, and i went White on them and got it to tuesday. so im going to try changing the fuse myself and see what happens.

I had that same thing happen to me and I was told it was an unrelated, coincidental short in the electronic harness. Coincidentally, it happened to me while waiting on the visor to come in and at the time the sun-broken visor finally deteriorated to the point it was hanging by it's wires.

Thanks Duke I forgot about that.

I have read that a short can occur from a broken visor on a least two other occasions.
