hey im highly interested in the rx8 rite now and thinking about buying the car. i like the way it looks and performs. some of my other choices are 350z, sti, and rsx type-s.

ive been doing sum research and found that rx8 is known to take a lot of gas

so i was jss wondering how many miles a gallon most of you guys get

all input is appreciated and thx in advance



edit: i noticed like the s2000, the rx8 has a high revving engine and gets its max hp and torque at a high rpm...so i was wondering how the rx8 drives in low rpms..i will be doing a lot of driving locally so would it still be a nice car to drive??

 

I have 2500 miles on the car and i calculated that i get 14 mpg. I do drive it fast but the driving experience of the rx8 is worth the extra gas. There is nothing you can do to improve this that i have found but if you find something let me know. Dont fall for the Air razor deal or the magnetic crap. They dont work evidently.

 

i never thought i would say this, but the MPG thing has been talked to death. Please jsut search you'll find hundreds of threads about this.

my average though is about 15-16 in winter 18-19 in summer
