I want to buy new lights bulbs but i dont know if I have HID or halogen. I cant figure it out. So, how can I tell?

Easy, just figure out what trim your 8 is. If it's not Touring or Grand Touring then you don't have HID's.

HID's are more blue in color versus the more yellowish white of halogen.
HID's take a few seconds to reachl "full power" when turned on.

But more than anything knowing what year and model RX-8 you have will let you know if you have HID's or not.

For example:
'07 RX-8's with the Performance Package come with XENON HID's.
So if you have an '07 with the Performance option you have HID's.

 

Or you can just pull out the bulb and see if it's HID or not.

k thanks good i just bought 9 LED parking lights and it requireds the HID

 

Why would parking lights require the use of the HID system?
