Hi, My brother has a 2004 velocity red rx-8. He recently was in an accident involving damage to his front bumper and hood. Now his temp. sensor does not read and his marker lights dont flash when he arms the alarm. From what I read, seems that the markers arent flashing because the alarm is not arming due to the hood not being closed fully. Either way, I need to know if I have trouble opening the hood, is the frame damaged? or possibly just the hinge got messed up? I will post pics tomorrow. The temp senosr is on the drivers side near the air filter. It's under the bumper.

Probably damaged or shorting out.

The keys can be re-programed by keeping them in your pocket.

Happens all the time to me. The buttons get pushed and reprogam the key.
