Help Me Please
I just bought a RX8 2004 about 3 weeks ago. The keyless entry does not work and when I brought it to a Mazda dealer to fix they said they could not reprogram the PCM. Has anyone had this problem and had it fixed by Mazda? If so can you tell me how long it took them and what they did? I would so greatly appreciate it as I have waited all my life to have a new car and this RX8 is like a dream come true! I just want it fixed to 100%.. Email me at sth357@qwest.net ...thanks!

do you mean the remote doesn't work?
or the chip in the key doesn't work?
have you switched the remote battery?
if it's the key, you can reprogram the sucker, but you need TWO working keys to do so, or else the dealer will have to use their Mazda computer to fix it.
you can reprogram the key yourself with this DIY - but you NEED 2 working keys.

If your car is still under warranty, take it back to the dealer, or find another dealer. They HAVE to fix it. Period.
If they still refuse to take care of it, call Mazda North American Operations directly at the 800 number (in USA, 800-222-5500) in your owner manual.
