CA HELP! I got some problem...

So i had this noise from the engine like an angry lawn mower when I revved up. I was thinking one of the coils farted out on me so I changed all the coils, spark plugs, and wires cause it was time to change it all anyways. Once I put all the new parts on I fired him up and the sound was still there but a little less then before with the old parts. Checked all the connections several times and can't seem to find what the problem is now. and I'm all out of ideas so if you guys can supply some tips or advice or even a local bay area club member that wants to help me out let me know. Thanks a lot

Is the check engine light flashing on and off when it happens? Have you taken it to the dealership? You should still be under the engine warranty so if you can't figure it out have them look at it.

ya the check engine lights on and flashing. and ya the engines still under warranty but i haven't taken it to the dealer yet... since i bought it, i've done most of the maintenance so it's probably void now. have to check about that but any tips?

Well, sounds like an ignition problem, but you've already checked that. Doing your own maintenance doesn't void the warranty, do you have receipts? I'd go to the dealership in any case.

Are you sure you used the right plugs? The 8 needs special plugs.

blinking CEL is usually a sign of misfire.
Are you certain each wire is going to the appropriate spark plug? I know this seems simple but it's always best to rule out the obvious first.

Did you reconnect the MAF properly?

I reconnected it; but, is there a procedure to it? also, I do have reciepts and I want to avoid the stealership if I can. I think it's a misfire problem too. I'll check back after work for more tips but thanks guys. everything helps

Make sure the coils are going to the correct plugs (FL, FT, RL, RT).

where are you.

the cel cannot be on an blinking at the same time.

some other silly waste of time info needed would be.

year, mileage, auto or manual.. flash on the motor..

that would be a huge help.

the recalls are more important..

but you say your replaced all the plugs, wires, and coils.. so that is not the problem..

btw, a hint. i would check them again..

the other thing you could do is turn the igniton switch to the on pos. do not start the car..

step on the brake pedal 20 times real fast. the oil pressure gauge should go from low to high back to low.

see if that helps.

and btw, unless you have an extended warranty it is not covered. and if you do, why are you asking here?
