That, dear, depends on the look you're going for.

They're chrome plate on aluminum so there's nothing to rust!

I have the custom 3-per-side set from Derwankel, if I ever wash my car I'll post a picture.

After looking at strakes of every color and finish on countless RX-8's everywhere, I'm here to tell you that the finest strakes in the land are…

the stainless steel strakes from Howard in England: http://rx8-accessories.com/

He will ship them to your home, and he accepts PayPal.

Hand-polished to a mirror finish, they're not quite as shiny—or brash—as chrome. Howard's strakes are the color and lustre of your Mom's fine stainless steel flatware that she uses only on special occasions. (Needless to say, they can't rust.) And when you pick one up in your hand, the quality and weight and smoothness of finish make you feel like it belongs on a Bentley Continental GT.

No strake is finer.

Strakes rule !!!

I had the OEM ones, and I changed them out for Howard's stainless steel units. While the SS units were heavier they were chromed and much nicer looking, vs. the aluminum OEM units.

I think three are too many. Makes the vent look "crowded" with strakes, IMHO. Two—or none—are best.

At least one person here had three instead of two. Search "strakes" and you might find a picture or two.

It will look like a Crossfire. Three strakes and you're OUT!

Cool Threeways......

You can't just buy 3 and stick 'em on - the angles and lengths are all different, must be custom made.

LOVE my three-ways!
