Howdy.... is it Nigel? Took a quick look at your site: you guys seem to be pretty happy with your 8s. Some of the posts are a bit hard to follow with that wird Brit slang...

Howdy as you guys say. Yes my name is Nigel, had my car about 8 months now and it still puts a smile on my face everytime I turn that ignition key.

Have just had my car Back from my local dealer, as I needed my engine replacing @ 45000 miles !!

The engine failure was due to a cracked rear rotor housing. Whats the situation in the US regarding failed engines?

Our owners club know of perhaps a dozen or so since production. I was fortunate and got my engine replaced free of charge. I was quoted about $7000 of your currency for a new engine, so really I got a good deal.

Have about 300 miles on new engine so no beep yet! The price of gas is getting crazy over here. Its about $2.50 a litre. All due to our greedy government taxing the hell out of us.

Welcome! I hear ya on the gas, it's pretty high here as well. Glad to see you're still having fun, not glad to see you have a new engine. Although, hey It's free, how can you complain too much

There are about 4 liters to a gallon, so they're looking at about $10 a gallon, or about 5 pounds.
