Hello

Hello everybody,
I've been waiting a long time to post on this forum and i just wanted to wait until i actually had my 8. So here my story short and simple. I'm a broke college kid with an obsession for cars and motorcycles. I've worked my butt off to buy an rx8 and last april it paid off. I bought it from an auction yard in houston and ever since then i've been scouring this forum looking for how to fix it and for the parts. Its come along way and now all i need is a few suspensions parts and to put the bumper and headlights on. There are lots of guys on here with tons of knowledge about the rx8 without whom i would have been screwed. Thanks alot for all your help everyone even though you had no idea you were helping

I hope I'm following all the rules about posting I'm sure ill get the hang of it.
Sorry about the fuzzy pic its the most recent one i have of the car which was a few days ago... the long reason i took it was cause the tow truck driver smashed the side skirts as it was being towed out of a body shop! I didn't really want to take pictures of it till its done but enjoy...

For the most part, it was rolled over and nearly ever body panel except for the spoiler trunk and rear bumper was damaged. All the good reason to get some nice aftermarket stuff like the seibon ks style cf hood, ms replica bumper and too bad i couldnt find any different fenders or else i woulda gone for those too. I'm having a bit of trouble with my suspension. The front left tire rubs when i turn too far to the left so i think i need a new lower control arm. It has been one hell of a headache to fix and lots of work, but in the end i know it will be worth it.

Most recently all the body work has been done last thing left to the puzzle is that darn lower contrl arm wooo!

Amazing that all of the glass survived a roll-over accident (at least, it looks like it survived). Anyway, best of luck with your project. I rebuilt/repaired a damaged single-engine airplane some years back and I must say that after much work and effort it was very gratifying the day I flew it.

man, if you resurrect that beast, youll be my hero... i love cars, and love working on them, but i have no where nearrr the expertise to fix up something like that. my goal is to one day be able to do what youre doing.

so, good luck, im sure itll end up great. if you get into any difficult situations and seem lost, just hold your head up and think about how everything youre doing is bringing you one step closer to being able to drive the nicest car... in the world.
