Heated Seats?
i failed to check this but does the RX8 have heated seats?

If you have the leather seats it has heated driver and passenger seats. If you have cloth their is no heat.

jtdwab's right. The heat from the seat is nice:-D

Based on experience they seem to get hotter when it's colder outside.
We had a mild "cold snap" down here in FL and the difference was noticable from the first time I tried them on a warm night to when I tried them on a cool morning. |

Therefore it doesn't feel that warm when the ambient is 70, but when its 30 its going to feel really warm? |
Great question. I contemplated that. I spent some time fiddling with the A/C, putting Windows up....basically making the car pretty cold inside (while it was hot outside).
It didn't seem to make the seats want to go any warmer. I kind of gave up and figured oh well what do I need seat warmers for anyway. then the other day when it got cold for a few days (cold being like 65 degrees, mind you - I'm in Miami) I popped them on and they were nice and toasty. |

lol i know i am wrong but i just get a kick out of people using heated seats at 65 degrees hehe if i had that weather my sunroof and both windows would be down and i would be going on a nice long cruise.

thanks for the reply though i defenatly want the heated seats with temps as low as -10 degrees and lower
|
my seats may be warmer than i think now that the temps have been frigid here in NJ. i found that when i shift my body with a heavy winter coat on and a different part of my back touches the seat back i feel the heat much more. i guess part of my back gets used to the heat but shifting it gives me a comparision and it is indeed very warm but not hot.

That said, I'm determined to use those heated seats even if it's only 5 times a year! |
