is hawaii gonna get the rx-8 sooner than MAINLAND AMERICA? just wondering cuz this happened with the sti.

hawaii got the sti's earlier cause ithey arent part of SOA, they get their cars directly from japan. i dont know if this is the case with mazda

what's soa? subaru of america? they get their cars directly from japan? don't their cars still have to comply to the us safety and emission and all that specs and stuff?
