Since my brakes squeal like crazy, I decided I would do a few hard stops to try to get rust and brake dust off my rotors. Going about 20 and slamming it achieved this quite nicely. But then I went 40, and didn't slam, but slowly pushed hard almost all the way down. When I did that, something squeaked, don't remember if the sound was the brakes or the tires. Anyway, I also felt and heard metal to metal rubbing behind me, as if it were coming from the axle or main frame of the car. There have been other times when taking a hard turn, that I would hear and feel the same thing. Like bending metal, and the car doesn't act appropriately when doing this. Is there a problem with my car?

 

Put it up on a jack.
