gt package

I was just wondering if the GT package is supposed to come standard with the 6 cd changer. Also does it come standard with the alarm?

sorrie, but they don't. GT package and 6-CD changer are separate options. As well as the alarm.

It does come standard with the basic alarm package - ignition immobilizer and if, when the doors are locked, a door is opened without unlocking them, it will set off an alarm. It just doesn't have the motion sensor.

6-CD changer always an option.

But if I remember correctly, it's standard in Canada though.

Hey, that is kinda cool, I had not had a chance to really read into the immobilizer system. I had no idea that an alarm would go off if someone tried to break in.

No, it's like this: If you have your windows rolled down and your car armed, someone comes by and try to open your door by reaching into the car through the open window, the alarm would go off, I think most OEM alarms work this way.

... and you can always add the shock/motion sensor for just $43 to make it a more effective alarm system.

No, both are options on US-Spec cars. Standard in Canada.

^^^ Thank god I'm not the only one who did that!
Could not figure out what I was doing wrong, then I went back to Edmunds and read the options packages again.
The only disappointment I've had so far. (And I've gotten over it. )

If you lock your 11 year old in the car while you return a video and she tries to put the window down, the alarm goes off, too. And it sets off the alarm of the Camaro next to it. Right in front of the people on the patio at Starbucks. :o
