Grounding Kit

Did some searches, but all the info and links I have found is either out dated or no longer exists.

Looking for a good grounding kit for the 8, saw a couple web sites called flex innovations, but they only seem to produce one for the Z cars now. On ebay I found some kind of grounding kit but it comes with some sort of voltage regulator? huh?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

As with many aftermarket parts, the results aren't truly proven and are either marketing data from the seller or subjective reports from other users.
I was considering making my own using wire and connectors from the marine industry.

Z enterprises only has Nissan cars listed.

Damnit, there's gotta still be a kit out there.

Alnielson, if you do decide tobuild your own kit I would much appreciate it if you posted your results.

What are you hoping to achieve with a ground kit?

our car is far too new to require grounding kits. the stock grounding points are stable/clean enough unlike older cars with rust, etc. but they can look nice and add that one more line to the mod list. never hurts to ground your chassis more.

I have the Buddy Club kit.
Didn't really notice any difference. That could be due to my grounding locations. though.

At least it looks neat

My friend who has a friend who knows a guy who works for mazda engineering says that a good grounding kit can increase whp by at least +5.

...

I've read that a grounding kit can help stabilize RPM, especially while running the AC, when fans kick on, etc. The benefits of them are all over these forums, mazda maniac made a post on it a couple years back.

Of course, it's all out dated now.

I have the Z-Enterprise grounding kit. They make them for the 8, you just didn't look hard enough. Here's the link.

http://www.maxground.com/mazda.htm

I like the kit. Nice heavy gauge wire, great insulation and connectors, like a 15 minute install including the time to sand all the contact points on the car. Smoothed the idle out especially when the fans are kicking on and off at a stop or if the A/C compressor is cycling on and off. Also seemed a little smoother in the high RPM's but no noticeable power increases or anything like that. They have a dyno sheet on the Z but I'm sure it's not really comparable to the effects on our car power wise, if there is any at all.

If you have the BHR kit, yes, otherwise, no.

The BHR kit grounds to the driver side fender location where this kit also happens to attack to.
