Whle on the subject of bum-raps in NY, have any of you NY owners ever been stopped or ticketed for clear corners? Anyone even had a LEO comment about them?

I'm from there but haven't been back in close to 2 years! Don't have my clear corners yet either even though I'm thinking about getting them!

Question, did you change the bulb out for a yellow one? If not that might be what they got you for. I don't know the law on that one.

All Cat Back exhaust are legal.
Not true. According to the law on the books in Wisconsin your exhaust cannot be louder than the stock exhaust. It may be legal for emissions but not legal for sound.

Me? I don't have them yet. I think clear corners with stealth bulbs would look awesome on my Winning Blue, but I thought I'd see how others are doing with them in NY first.

FYI, Kingston is not upstate New York. It's an hour and 30 minutes north of NYC. NY State takes 12 hours to get through. Sorry, that allows urks me. I live in Dutchess an hour north, and all my buddies in the city call it upstate.

I've lived in Corning near the center of the southern border for 6 years. I thought everything *not* the city *is* 'upstate', but it's not like I got an official orientation or anything.

I dunno about 12 hours. Buffalo is near the western end. I can get from Buffalo to Corning in ~1.5 hours. I can get from Corning to MA or Corning to NYC in 4 to 6 hours (all somewhat traffic dependent). If you're really just 'cutting through', even the long way it ought to be 8 hours or less. Ironically, the best way to NYC from most of south-western NY is through PA so I won't even guess how that time counts. :dunno:

Nope, I'm pretty sure you live upstate. :p:
