Talking Got it! My 05 Black Cherry Shinka!

The only cosmetic issues are a little rust around the satellite radio antenna and a smattering of chips on the bumper... but for the price I paid, something had to give.

Congrats and thanks for the pics. Looks good. So how much did you pay and how many miles on it? I assume manual?

$12k, 51000 miles, MT.

Also came with MazdaSpeed front and rear stabilizer bars, MazdaSpeed cold air intake and exhaust, as well as 10" JL sub and 600w O2 amp.

Congratulations (but sobering to see how little my own Shinka is now valued). Enjoy!!

Clear corners to come? Also, would recommend reverting to the stock BCM gascap cover.

Good deal on that Shinka. Hopefully 51K well-cared for miles. I'd personally go back to the body-colored gas cap, hopefully you got that with the car or your stuck paying money out for new painted one. I'd get clear corners too.

what kind of tires did they put on the car?
So the car rusted a bit even though you're in Georgia. Do cars rust easily/quickly there?

Yeah, I'm thinking about tracking down a body colored gas cap, too. Unfortunately the car only came with the chrome one.

Clear corners? What do they look like and where can I get them?

The car had one owner and as best as I can tell, the car was well taken care of. The guy enjoyed driving the car the way it was meant to be driven. That's not a bad thing.

As far as the rust is concerned, it looks like the car spent a lot of time parked outside in the Florida sun (4 years, actually). I think the rust was caused by using an adhesive to attach the satellite radio antenna to the trunk lid. Combine that with years of washing, waxing, and the Florida climate, and the damage was done. I can always have it repainted...

Clear "corners" or side-markers: http://www.rx8strakes.com/index.asp?...PROD&ProdID=43

Be sure to get the amber-when-lit "chrome stealth" bulbs if your state requires same.

I also saw them here www.mazmart.com. I put orange bulbs in my clear corners. I still wanted a bit of orange to show up during day and esp. at night when lights are on.

The "stealth" chrome bulbs illuminate amber, but blend into the clear-white background when off, rather than the "egg yolk" effect of amber bulbs.

I'm thinking these clear corners are the way to go for myself too.

No need to negotiate... eBay is where the deals are! You can also find some good ones locally on CraigsList.

btw i bought mine off ebay also...except my experience was slightly terrifying. it all worked out in the end and there really was nothing to fuss about, but i'm a paranoid individual and probably would suggest peace of mind over [long distance] ebay to someone else. that said, i love my car and glad i came across it on ebay

I thought about them for my side markers but I wanted some orange to come through during the day just in case. I was thinking of getting them for the front and rear turn signals. PIAA makes them and they are Japan market. You can find them on eBay, but they aren't cheap. Search for "PIAA mirror."
