Goodbye RX8
So I just traded in my RX8 on Wednesday, and I felt like I wanted to make a thank you / memory post to the RX8. There will always be a place in my heart for the RX8, as it was the first car I bought myself, and the first car that I bought and paid off myself. It also taught me a bunch about working on cars in general. Fixing all of the quirks and doing a lot of my own work taught me valuable skills that I would never have acquired otherwise. I wanted to write this goodbye post for therapy myself, as I will miss my car a ton. I do know it is time to move on, as I am graduating school and need a different vehicle as I will not have access to a location for doing my own work.
Of course, there has to be an obligatory things I love list about this car.
• First and foremost, the people that I have met through owning this car are incredible. The RX8 Club is such a great resource, and it's incredible how many experienced individuals give their time to explain concepts to those of us who are less knowledgeable about the car.
• To the entire Tri-State Crew, it was awesome going on Sonic Runs and cruises with you all, even though it was a hell of a trek from Wilmington, worth it every time. Hopefully I can still make it up for another one if they start in the summer again. I'll remember the seafoam, the hood struts, and Francesco continually breaking or modifying his car.
• I'm going to miss the feel of the car in general. Road handling and ride feel are absolutely perfect on this car and I will miss it on the twisties.
• Owning a rotary. The Rx8 is truly a unique car and you don't see many around. The camaraderie among rotary owners is awesome. 9k Revs aren't too bad too.
• The new car might be faster, but the RX8 is more fun to drive. Effortlessly fast.
Thanks to RX8 club for all of the resources and help over the years. This truly is an amazing site, and I will miss the resource that it provides. I'll still be on the forum like many ex RX8 owners, but I wanted to write this as a thank you to RX8 club for all of the help over the years.
GBNF.

Thanks guys - I didn't mention it in OP because I didn't want to get off topic from the RX8. It's been a blast so far, but I really do believe the RX8 drives "nicer" although it isn't as fast.
Basically, I'm starting a new job in a new area and I won't have the room to do work on the RX8 myself. That and getting up in miles (and, particularly in my car, increasingly severe maintenance issues) made me decide it was time to say goodbye.

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
There's a few members here that traded their rx8 to a bimmer, it's like an upgrade. If it's me, just if i trade my rx8 (i know i wouldn't, but just if), it would be a Nissan GT-R...enough said. Just because, i see a lot of BMW's roaming around, and it does not look unique, like the rx8...you don't see a lot of these, that's why i wouldn't trade it with anything else (except for a Nissan GT-R )
