A Good Time to Buy?

Hey RX8 owners !

I am possibly about to join you, I test drove a 2007 RX8 in the new stormy blue color with sand leather interior (GT model) this weekend and absolutly LOVED IT. I currently drive a Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 and was blown away by the space, smoothness and power of the RX8. Not to mention insurance will be cheaper on the RX8 then my 4 year old tiburon!! Question for all you owners out there, is now a good time to buy? Push me over the edge to go to the dealer tonight and buy one Anything I should watch out for with a new RX8? BTW I am getting a GT with the Mazda Speed rims, spoiler, and cold air intake (sounds nice) a free upgrade in canada.

Cheers, and thanks in advance for all your advice

Hi there. Welcome to the forum!
Can you update your profile to show your location? It would help us advise you.

You should get a pretty good deal on the car right now but it could get a bit better in the fall/winter. How long do you want to wait? If you're not stuck on the blue you could get a new '06 at a great price.
You're getting a 6 speed manual, right?

Basically I want a new car now and I'd rather not wait I am getting sick of the Hyundai, good car, but ITS An aging Hyundai if you follow me. I am in Kitchener, Ontario. I can get a reasonably good deal and with the mazda speed package being thrown in riight now I really love the speed rims. I am getting an auto with the new 6speed manual mode. Reason being my finacee will be driving it some as well and she is scared to death driving a standard around town, and I am always on the phone while driving iwth work and having a standard is just becoming a severe pain in the ****

Auto? Then might as well stick with your Tiburon.

Rotary + Auto = plus us doing this and get by Civics and eventually after much you will tell us your story while still receiving more and and finally decide to

Oh and when you ask about why is your auto 8 is so slow this is what you'll get

This is my daily driver. Sure the manual can be a pain with the stop and go traffic but it's well worth it when you can actually have some fun with her. I've never heard of anyone get a manual and decide to sell it for an automatic.

Don't know how true it is, but I've always heard that the end of the month is a good time to buy because dealerships and salesmen are trying to make quotas.
