Had about half a tank left and did a road trip up to see family. Got back into town with the yellow fuel light on and thought I drop her until she was on fumes. Filled up and it only took 14.024 gallons yet a quick look at the web indicates the rx8 holds 15.9 gallons

So what is the story on our rx8 and fuel display? Is Empty really not empty on this model? Mine is a 2007 model. Had 264 miles on the trip meter so divided by 14.024 is about 18.8 mpg....for a moment there I thought I was doing better then that since the trip was about 75 miles each way. Seems city driving really sucks (...the gas). Yes I knew that....
