Glad to hear you're okay, like everyone else said the 8 is just a car - main thing is you made it out alright. He'll get his eventually, hopefully insurance will handle everything hassle free and you can get everything fixed no prob!

 

Following him might have been a bad idea. Yes, if he calmly drove away you could follow and get his plate number. But I have a feeling he's not the type to calmly go his merry way. Assume he would see you and race ahead, not wanting to be caught. What are you supposed to do then – break the speed limit and run lights to catch him? The police and your insurance company would probably consider that reckless driving. Which would be worse than following him, even assuming you caught up with him.

I think not following him was probably a smart move. (Unless, as I say, he drove away normally.)

this may sound creepy... But, were there any shops in the area that maybe had a camera facing the incident? It's possible that this was all caught on camera (they're all over the place now-a days ). Just a suggestions...

seriously though. glad your okay. really find out if there are any cameras in the area even traffic cams. also you might want to contact local tv news to maybe do a story and ask for witnesses.
