Does anyone know how many links the glove box damper has?

I was going to clean up my glove box today, then i decided to take it out since there is too much useless paper and small things in there. i released the damper clip, then i changed my mind to go to the car wash. without putting back the clip, i closed the lid. i drove to car wash machine, then wash my car and after that i took out the glove box lid. when i was going to place it back, i noticed that the damper link was way too short. I believe there are two links connecting from dashboard to the lid. but the funny thing, i couldn't find the other link if it's broken. so can anyone confirm that? Thanks .

 

Check out the glove box removal/rplacement as part of this DIY - https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-yourself-forum-73/diy-aldehyde-cabin-air-filter-installation-8353/ . I believe there is only one damper link but two tabs that hold the glovebox in place.
