And exactly guys, no one says the Genesis V-6 engine is the best but it's far from the worst and if he had it readily available and has the tools and know how, why not?

I must agree that VQ engines sound like cows. I have a VQ35 in the Infiniti DD and the damn thing sounds like a cow too. This applies tot he VQ37 also, but they seem to have more rasp. My friend that used to own a G35 (upgraded to a 335d) agrees on the mooing also .

VR6 and the C30A/C32B sound more exotic IMHO.

 

Interesting - imagine this swap with the new Mazda V6 in the 2011 mustang? Thats an interesting Granny's speed shop style swap in a few years down the road for you know -- the 'other' rx8 you have floating around the house.

 

start buying up rx8's in the 200,000 mile catagory dirt cheap and throwing whatever engines we can find in them just to see lol.. I'm sure theres a transmission plate for anything you want, question is what will the torque do to it...

 

I had a g35 and agree VQs are a little over the top. It's pretty much the same with 3.8 genesis, maybe even worse. But a well put together v6 like the c30A in the NSX 🤩 its symphony to the ears.

 

Nice 10-year bump, LOL. And just to talk about V6s.
