General RX8 owner aftermarket shiftknob preference survey.
RX8 owner aftermarket shift **** preference survey.
I know there is a thread on shift **** pictures alone, but I would like to take a little survey. Choose your own preference for aftermarket shift *****.

I had a voodoo, Got bored of sphere ***** so I sold it. Now im looking at getting a cylinder type, Was really looking at BLOX ***** and that might be a choice. I have seen a like teardrop **** that looked great. Cant seem to find them though.
If you have a short shifter, you almost have to stick with a light ****, otherwise extra mass works against the swift, precise shifting that the shifter affords.
I'm not voting, because I haven't found the aftermarket **** that I like better than stock. It's not a super-lightweight, but isn't close to being a "weighted" ****.

I love my VooDoo too. I much prefer it to the OEM because I rest my palm on top of the ****, rather than wrapping my fingers around the **** like a lot of folks do.

Our transmission transfers so much heat directly to the shifter, i don't know how you guys use metal spherical *****. Even the metal top to my JDM illuminated **** gets hot after driving for an hour. The Metal Voodoo I bought was unusable after an hour, even in winter.
I personally like the oem leather and aluminum shifter, but it is degrading and I will need to find a replacement eventually.
As some people have mentioned metal shifter get hot so I was thinking on getting a suede momo shifter but the shapes don't seem optimal for quick shifting and comfort.

I don't find that the **** heats up from the tranny too bad even on longer drives. Gets warm at the most. Then again I don't really rest my hand on the shifter during daily driving and when I'm driving aggressively both hands are on the wheel.
