Question Gas that dont last?

Hey somethings wrong with my gas milage. I have a A/T and I dont drive hard on the gas pedel but everytime I fill up with a full tank of gas from the top to the 1/2 way point dont last long for me, just like 2 & 1/2 days. However when I'm at the middle of my tank it will last for 3 & 1/2 days. I dont get it... Is this norm

the shape of the gas tank is not normal and the gauge is not reading it right.
The first 1/4 goes faster then the second and third 1/4 and the last 1/4 also goes pretty quick. Nothing wrong with your car, just part of the "uniqueness" that is our car...

I just bought mine brand new two weeks ago and I already notice that. First 1/4 goes fast (about 60 miles for my car), second 1/4 goes a bit slower, then the third 1/4 seems to last forever, and the last 1/4 goes as fast as the second one.

First fill @ 33 miles: 250 miles with 13.50 gallons = 18.52 mpg
Second fill @ 283 miles: 275 miles with 14.06 gallons = 19.56 mpg

BTW, mine is manual.

I get 100 miles to halfway, give or take. Usually 150 or so by 1/4th mark. It's been pretty consistent for me. MPG has gone all over the place though from 15.8 to my 13.5 on my most recent fill.

I've never had a car with a linear gas gauge and this one is no exception. Don't worry, be happy.

Mine is very accurate. Not like old gas gages that took a long time to drop off full. What ever I get the first 1/4 I can just times 4 and that is what I will get for the tank. (Unless I change the type driving.) I usually get 60~70 miles to the first mark, then 120~140 at 1/2 and 240~280 at E. It is obviouse with the "U" shaped tank and the transfer system that the computer is programed for this action.

Had my 8 18 months and 16K miles and it has always worked like this.
