Is the Galaxy Metallic Flake? If not then the Tit Gray rules

I'm gonna go Titanium based on those pics. The titanium is so slick, especially at night . Classy. It was a hard, hard choice between that and my V.R.

i have actually. but its fairly well known about paint in general and and been mentioned by nearly everyone at some point on here that its very difficult to get a true version of the 8 colors thru pics. especially pics on a website. go read Gomez's thread about the new blue for instance.

I'll have to see the galaxy in person. I have always felt the Titanium was the worst colour for the 8. It's so flat and boring. There are so many car companies with so many nicer grey's. It's generally one of my favourite car colours. I hope galaxy grey has a little more depth.

Is the galaxy grey on the 8 the same color as the grey on the new Miata? If so, then I like it better.

I for one can't understand why mazda would replace titan. grey with something so simular. I'd like to see an 8 in a darker grey like the one porsche has.

its because of their new 3 step paint system and their new paint line (replaced after the fire)

I've seen the Galaxy in person and I would have to go with that one. It's got more a cool tone, a blue if you will, to it. The titanium is more of a warm shade, a subtle sand-type tone.

The lower one of those is my car.

Whoever asked about metalflake - the Galaxy is mica. It changes tone. I've seen people refer to Titanium as silver; the Galaxy has more depth of colour to it.

I honestly wouldn't have cared that much either way. I wanted grey and I got grey. (Well, I wanted Yellow or Black, but they didn't offer those (yellow isn't produced for the UK at all) and I'm kinda glad not to be trying to clean two black cars anymore).

But, that shot is done on a Pentax DL I had been using for 5 minutes. It does look right to me on my Mac, but I cannot tell what other people are seeing, and it has been reduced in size in Photoshop so any sharpness/texture in the paint will have been lost.
