Fun poll (S1 & S2 Dashboard) :D

So what do you guys like better,

the S1 dashboard

or the S2 dashboard?

and dont vote what you have because obviously there are more S1's out there than S2's but im just asking what would you rather have and look at in your car every time you go drive it

personally i like the S2 dash better since it looks more modernistic and more sporty...but that's just me

Cluster
Tail lights

Things im impartial about on my S2 compared to what i have now

Headlights
Dash/radio display
gear ratio change
Reverse gear location

Things i dont miss about my S2:

That ugly *** BIG smile of a front bumper, jesus.
The rear bumper
The lack of aftermarket support
The CWP color, jesus did that car get dirty a day after i washed it

I was thinking, you were talking about the complete dashboard. As I love how my GPS hides out of the way and flips out!!!

I prefer the look of the Series 2 Cluster... I'm actually interested in trying to make the Series 2 Cluster work in the Series 1, but I'm not sure if it would be possible, I'm pretty sure the way they communicate with the ECU is different and it wouldn't just be a matter of custom wiring.

strange my S1 the oil pressure and temp are reversed... maybe because mines a stick or that one is somewhere else in the world?

I prefer the simplicity and sharper tick marks of the S1 and it looks like the S2 doesnt have an oil pressure temp.

+1 on the simplicty and sharper tick marks on the S1...don't care much for the light gray rings around the edge of the gauage face on the S2 as well...BUT i really like the idea of the "moving redline" on the gauge of the S2 and the fact that there's symetry with having a big needle on the middle guage and two smaller ones on the sides

S1 for sure. I actually like everything about the S1 over the S2 as far as looks go. The S2 has too much of that high gloss black plastic to where i feel there's no real design/elegance with it. Whereas the S1 used it in a cleaner fashion just accenting your controls. But honestly, who cares? The both car's are fantastic to drive and that's really what counts.

S2:

I couldn't find a series 2 with all the dashboard lights on to make the comparison more equal.

yeah i made a thread about this, long story short, what i marked bold was what people told me. Im sure its possible, but its probably easier and maybe cheaper to just trade your S1 in for a S2 lol

if you want to find the thread i started you can look it up, under threads started by me, but yeah..

I agree. I enjoy the S1 interior a lot more. I do like the variable redline indicator of the S2 though. Other than that the S1 wins in my opinion.

But then I also agree that it's not a huge issue as both series are fun as hell to drive. But man, I'd love the taillights and rear bumper from an S2.

I haven't been in a series 2 to know for sure, but in the pictures i posted above, the series 2's leather looks of better quality and softer than the plastic-y leather in my series 1. I do actually like the leather in the series 1 even though it looks a bit cheaper. It's just easy to clean and quick to make it really shine.

S1 for sure.

S2 looks like the stripped down model or something...
There is actually nothing I like about the s2 except for the moving red line and r3 wheels...

I like the S1 cluster but I like the overall shape of the S2 dash.

One of the diffrences between the series. If you compare the two, you'll notice that on a s2 cluster there are 3 red bars in the tach. As the vehicle climbs to operating temperature, the first two bars dissapear gradually, and one at a time. When only the last bar on the right remains, drive it like you stole it!

It'll be series 2 for me, the interior is much more "elegant" (the r3)

The steering wheel on the S2 was copied from the Jeep.

Ugly!

The S1 looks sportier, the s2 looks so lame...sorry S2 owners, no hard feelings.
