Every time I take the 8 out I always, without exception, get turned heads...and when the windows are down, compliments. Even without all the glowing feedback, it is such a fun car to drive.

Had someone from down the street tell me my 8 was...quote..."sporty-orty-orty". He then said it was "BEUtiful". Never had anyone say that about a car I've owned.

I really only got a few comments from strangers (silver 8 with accessory package) since I bought it 8 months ago, but I guess I don't look too friendly. Who cares, I still love looking at it, do the check over my shoulder every time. Never did that with a car before. Still not the reason I bought it, but a nice bonus.

I was at my fathers work showing off my car to his friends
and these guys are like hardcore musclecar people. I thought it was really great to get compliments on it from MC guys.
Usually they look at it and then compare why they think their muscle is better than an import.
One guy said "wow"
One guy said "my lawnmower has a bigger engine(chuckling)"
And another looked up at me and said "that's beautiful!....how fast have you gotten it?!"

Oh! and then some guy pulled in just to look at my car.
"Can I just look at the rotary engine?!?! What's it like?! Is it fast?! I want an RX-7! Thanks!"

The reason why this car turns a lot of heads because its not a car u see everyday, alhtough more people are getting it i mean i do see more on the road this year than 04, and the way they designed this car is just beautiful to look at

Seems people who like musclecars like the 8, and ones who are into imports don't even acknowledge it. Just an observation, so it could be I just haven't met enough import enthusiests.

I had just washed and waxed my 8 and took a drive. I had a guy pull up next to me and ask me to roll down the window. His first question was, "What is that?" I told him it was and RX-8.. Blank stare.... Then he asked what color it was, I told him Nordic Green. He replyed with, "It looks really nice, thanks." Then we parted ways.

He was in a beat up oldsmobile and the only thing I could think of was he is trying to decide on a new color for his.

It is nice when the occasional stranger takes an interest in my 8.

Having a "F***-YOU" yellow car really helps turn heads! I love it when you get compliments from people with $80,000 cars. I told a guy with a yellow viper (see sig) that I LOVED his car, and he said mine was pretty damn good too, well before I had done ANYTHING to it!
