Which fuel pump lock ring should I buy?
I finally got around to swapping my 2005 Series 1 fuel pump to the Series 2 fuel pump, but I had to pause in the middle of the install.
I noticed the lock ring has a big crack hidden within the threads so I need a new ring to prevent any leaking.
When I checked the MazMart website I noticed they have two different lock ring part numbers...one for the Series 1 and one for the Series 2.
I'm assuming I need to get a Series 1 lock ring since it's likely based on the fuel tank's lower threat ring. But I wasn't sure if maybe it's the same thread, but updated to better standards. Just wondering if I can get some input before I place my order.
Also, my rubber gasket looks good, but I was thinking of getting a new one...however, $57 for a rubber O-ring gasket seems crazy high! I guess I'll just use my current O-rink since it looks to be in good shape.

Get the lock ring for whichever fuel tank you have. I don’t know one way or the other, just the safe bet. Generally speaking if it was directly interchangeable it might make more sense for them to standardize on one part, but we often can’t know for sure.
plenty of people re-use the O-ring, but it’s up to you to inspect and decide if it needs to be replaced or not

Thanks!
I’ll just get the S1 ring.
