Exclamation Front Cigarette Lighter not working

so first and foremost, i have searched but i still could not find an answer to my problem, even though there were similar issues posted none of them answered my problem.

The Problem: my front cigarette lighter stopped working when my brother tried to use a GPS to test on my car because apparently it stopped working on his car. turns out, the GPS killed his cigarette lighter in his car too!

before he tested my cigarette lighter for his GPS i knew my cigarette lighter was working because i usually have my phone charged there. now it doesn't work. only the cigarette lighter in the rear console works when my phone needs to be charged.

now, before you say check the fuses, i have, i have checked all the fuses [including the Cigarette one] in the kick panel next to the door as well as the fuses in the engine bay [but not all of them, just the ones that were asked to check in the other threads i have looked at.]

what else could it be?

Well... the front cigarette socket is after the 15A CIGAR fuse (like you mentioned), but the accessory socket is after the 20A PWR fuse.
Both of those are energized by the ACC relay.
So if the accessory socket works and the front doesn't, then I would focus on the actual socket.
I would first disconnect the socket and test the voltage going to it.

sorry for the delay, but i finally got a chance to "test" the voltage going into the front socket. while i was installing the Short shifter, i accidentally disconnected the yellow wire going straight into the socket. it sparked so im sure it was getting power. so now im thinking its the actual socket. if that is even possible. what i also noticed is the small red LED in the little ash tray thing [left of the cig lighter] does not work either. i dont remember if it was working before because i never noticed because it is usually filled with coins.

I wish

I have to replace it, all my fuses are fine, I know the socket gets power, so I need a new socket, just don't know where to get it.

Solder joint then. The socket is only 2 parts the ground and the pos it will only fail if fuse burns, wire breaks along the run or the wire to socket connection breaks.

Still need to replace my fuses. Im having similar issues and havent had the time (or patience) to fix it.

My amp may be blown, my fuses keep blowing out. So now I just said f%*k it and I've been rolling system-less and accessory outlet-less for about a year now lol.

I hate electrical gremlins.....

Has anyone found any DIY on how to reach the socket, disconnect and repair it?

I have checked my fuses and they are all ok so I suspect either a broken socket or a disconnected/cut cable which might have occured long ago during my BT handsfree installation.
