Has anyone noticed, more than usual, road rash pitting of the front bumper on their 8's. I have had a fair number of low- riding cars- and this amount of raod chips, compared with other vehicals I have owned, seems a bit much with my 8.. I did not want to put a Bra on, but at this rate, I don't want to think about what it will look like, two or three years down the road. Just curious, maybe it's just a SoCal thing.

I'm with Frank...I haven't followed any gravel trucks, or such lately..but I'm noticing more and more 'chips' in the bumper/nose

 

Their's a thread that mentioned pitting/chips on the bumper and hood, I few mentioned that the car had soft paint. Had my bumper replaced after a year and 8 months and there's a noticble "freshness" compared to the old.

 

My old Miata's paint got about a million rock chips on it (must be a Mazda thing) so on my RX-8 I had a clear bra installed. No rock chips!
