Hey guys, don't be so hard on ultra. Of course the RX-8 has cylinders!!

Off hand, I can think of the master brake cylinder, master clutch cylinder, clutch slave cylinder and just look at your brake calipers. They're full of pistons.

Just like the pistons guys have brake rotors on each wheel. We're all just one big happy automotive family.

I'd like to know how the chip fried either a brake or clutch cylinder. That must be one badass chip.

Spaced for a second, it's not manufactured not by Turboxs but they did use it for a while. It's just older technology, so not a gimmick or ****, but certainly not anything special.

Ultra....seriously, don't listen to these jerks. I still have 14 chips left. If you want, I can send you a couple. I sold the 3 with the image of the Virgin Mary and the one with Jesus on ebay, but two have Jay Leno images. I'm letting the entire batch go for $120 or $10 apiece. PayPal razpewton@aol.com.

You still have friends on here, dude. Let me help you.

If you fried a coil pack, you are considerably better off $ wise than had you "fried a cylinder" which I would take to mean that some severe and irreparable harm has come to one of your Rotary Chambers. But, I cannot see how a chip could have caused that so you must have coil pack issues.

How 'bout the BMW that sends a message when the car is ready for scheduled maintenance. Anyone see that commercial? The wheels on the bus go round and round...

Imagine the dealership calling you telling you to slow down and by the way the police have been notified, waiting at the next exit for you and your warranty is now void for racing.

Coil packs are about $50 bucks a piece. You can order them from Trussville or Rosenthal. They are located under the plastic intact duct thingy. You can replace them yourself.

If you need to find the bad one you need a multimeter and check it like you'd check a transistor.

They contain an LC circuit to produce your spark. (In simple terms)

Sorry if my avatar is disturbing to you. I can't change her, though. She's been with me for soooooooo long.

I deleted the Possessed-Girl-In-The-Cow's-Mouth picture. I don't want to push anyone over the edge. Hope you know I was kidding.

Just because a couple people tried it doesn't make it worth anything. Sorry just don't think messing up a motor on a chip with one dyno or a couple references is worth it.

All is well, then.

On a side note, I'm getting my wife a new Ryobi cordless tool set for Christmas. I think she's getting me a sewing machine or sumthin'.
