Fresh owner of an 04 6spd. got a few easy questions.
got rid of my high school dodge dakota(V8 single cab 5spd, i loved that truck. lol) and got an rx8. i love the car but as a new owner i have a few questions.
1. when the car is idleing it kinda vibrates but as soon as the rpms hit 1,000 it is silky smooth. I was wondering if the idle vibration is normal characteristic of the rotary engine.
2. after close inspection, i was very disappointed to find a light greenish film around the parameter of my headlights, and a small bug in one! so they must be not sealed. the lights workk fine but i would like the car to be 100%. so is this going to be an easy fix?
3. I have under 70k miles on it. it looks and sounds to be in great shape. what problems should i be watching out for? (rotary related or not)
looking forward to injoying the rx8 quite some time!

I have just as easy an answer: Become accustomed to using the "Search" function located just under the "RX8Club.com" banner at the top.

Hello, I'm a new '04 with 53k mi owner also. Mine is idling a bit rough also but great at 1k
rpm. Love the car so far but thinking I should have read more before buying
it after seeing all the posts about engine failures, etc. I'll do all the required
maintenance and will take everyones recommendation on this forum but
only hope the previous owner did the same...
