Follow-up on the Review from a disappointed fan

This is a follow-up on my “Review from a disappointed fan” thread that is now closed.
The original thread can be found here

I got over my initial disappointment and after careful consideration I concluded that even with all the shortcomings the RX-8 is a better choice than any of the available alternatives. In fact for someone like me who wants a sports car, but needs a sedan and has $30K budget this seems to be the only car worth considering.

I fund a used 8 with 3K mi on eBay and I am now a proud owner of titanium gray GT 6-spd. After driving the car 700 mi from Pittsburg to Boston I feel happy with my choice.

Glad to hear things have worked out with you, and that you got a hold of an RX-8.

I'm curious, while I am an eBay buyer, I have yet to buy anything quite like a vehicle. My main concern is it will not be as good as the seller implied.

Do you have any comments about your experience?

It's not every day you see a thread like this ;)

Here's to more happiness as time goes on.

Way to go man, you won't regret it. Any idea if your car was a dealer buyback?

I trust reputable eBay sellers.
My wife sells designer clothing on eBay and I know what it takes to earn a strong feedback.

It was not a dealer buyback.
The original owner bought after the cutoff date.

What was MSRP and how much did you pay for it?

That is what I call having an open mind.

Congratulations man!

That's great that you got the Titanium Grey, that's what my gf and I got too, only in A/T instead of the 6 speed.

What was all included? Sports? Touring? Grand Touring? Navigation?

I'm still debating if I want to get the Navigation later on...but chances not though. My family would worry too much if I went on long trips. "For every hour he's gone on a trip, that's every less hour I can sleep in fear he gets distracted and gets into trouble..."
But it looks like a pretty spiffy unit.

Grand Touring Package. Nothing else. MSRP $31,100

Good for you, glad to see you've changed your mind about this wonderful car...
