Follow-up on my rim rash

A while back I posted because I was distraught over my rim rash. I wasn't paying attention and scraped at least 1/3 of my rim on the curb and gouged it good. I felt sick.

After putting out a call to the forum, I was pointed to this DIY link http://www.audiworld.com/tech/ext43.shtml

Sorry I don't have pictures, but the DIY covers it all. This job was easy!

1. Lots of paint thinner to clean up the area.
2. Tape the tire off and sand the rash with fine emory paper
3. Clean area
4. Apply thin layer of spot putty
5. Sand with 400 wet & dry
6. Apply finer layer of spot putty
7. Sand with 400 wet & dry
8. Mask of rest of tire and rim with paper
9. Spray a layer of sanding primer
10. Remove tape and and paper from rim
11. Sand tape line and primer with 600 wet & dry (using water)
12. Sunlight Silver paint from my MazdaSpeed spoiler matched the wheel
13. Used a Badger airbrush and acompressed tin or air
14. Waiting for a warm, dry day to do the clear.
