Came into the Medford, OR dealership today. Went and checked it out, but $33,500 was too rich for my blood and they said that the price was absolutely NOT coming down at all. Period. Didn't even have a spoiler or aero flares Oh well. Guess I'll keep waiting for the '07s...

 

With the resale value on the RX8 like it is, you wouldn't want to owe that much on one anyway.

 

they're not going to give you a deal on a brand new shinka, that thing still smells like whale meat... come on...

 

There are currently quite a few shinkas in the greater seattle area atm, hope to pick one up in about a month and not lurk any more. And of course a salesman is going to say that- You have to know the right way to deal with them... mainly an independent company that will do the negotiations for you

 

I KNEW he was lying to me. I couldn't imagine the first Shinka coming to freakin' Medford. He said their sales manager called them today and said "I know the Shinka is there and don't you DARE touch that price". I told 'em I'd be interested if they just cut off a grand or two, but they said absolutely no way How can I deal better with that?

 

you can wait another year and buy the car when they start giving deals.

 

Some of the dealers in the Portland area got some in a few weeks ago.

 

They were in Milwaukee a few weeks ago, there's no way the west coast didn't get them at least a week or two before Milwaukee.

 

Talk to Ray from Mazda of Everett. They have a perfectly loaded CR Shinka there I have been eyeing on. He should able to get you a good deal on that. Besides, there are total of THREE CR Shinka just in western Washington alone so shop around.

I can't believe they would outright lie to me like that... Makes me wonder if I shouldn't look at dealerships farther away for a better deal.

 

The first '06 Shinka hit the New England area in late March. But opting for a 9 mos-on-the-lot '05 Shinka was one of the best automotive decisions I've ever made.

 

You are obviously not familiar with the car salesmen's code of ethics.
